A Little Care Goes a Long Way

You’ll find the washing instructions inside your garment, printed on a silk tag (also available on our website).
Follow these instructions to ensure your favourite Parmi gear a long lifespan.
In general, washing your gear in cold or warm water with mild laundry soap (non-toxic, and preferably biodegradable) and line drying it is the best way to clean your Parmi products.
Cashmere – From Your Parmi Accessories
Hand wash your cashmere in cool water. Use mild laundry detergent or even shampoo. Let the garment soak in the basin, and avoid twisting or rubbing it. After soaking, rinse with fresh water until the water runs clear. Gently squeeze excess water from your Parmi garment. Lay flat your cashmere on a dry towel. Stretch it to the correct size and shape before leaving it to air dry.
Cotton – From Your Parmi Crews and Shirts
Wash your organic cotton gear in cool-to-warm water with mild laundry detergent (non-toxic, and preferably biodegradable) and line dry it, if possible. You may also use a dryer set on low heat. When in doubt, read the care label found inside your Parmi garment.
Merino Wool – From Your Parmi Tees and Crews
Merino’s natural odour-resistant properties allow you to wear your garment multiple times in between washings – ideal for a life on the move.
When needed, machine wash your Parmi merino in cold water. We recommend washing your garment with delicate items and lay flat to dry on a towel. You may also use a dryer set on low heat.
Nylon & Woven – From Your Parmi Cycling Bibs
Machine wash your nylon and woven Parmi garment in cool-to-warm water with a mild laundry detergent (non-toxic, and preferably biodegradable) and line dry it, if possible. You may also use a dryer set on low heat.
PERTEX – From Your Parmi Outerwear Essentials
The waterproof and breathable fabrics from PERTEX will provide years of optimal performance.
Machine wash in warm water (86˚F/30˚C) using a “technical wash” detergent, which is specifically formulated for waterproof and breathable garments. If you don’t have a “technical wash” detergent, you can use a biodegradable fragrance-free and dye-free detergent. If you are using a standard detergent, add an extra rinse cycle to ensure a residue-free garment.
Tumble dry your garment on a medium-warm setting to help renew the fabric’s durable water repellent (DWR) finish, which keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated in wet conditions.
After many adventures and washing cycles, your waterproof and breathable garment will require more than a simple wash to revive its DWR finish. When water no longer beads up on the garment, it’s time to turn to a spray-on solution, which can easily be found at your favourite outdoor gear shop.
Polyester – From Your Parmi Tees
Machine wash polyester in warm water on the “permanent press” setting. Use a mild laundry detergent (non-toxic, and preferably biodegradable) and line dry it, if possible. You may also use a dryer set on low heat, but make sure to remove your Parmi garment from the dryer as soon as the cycle ends to prevent wrinkling.
PrimaLoft Insulation – From Your Parmi Outerwear Essentials
Machine wash your Primaloft garment with a mild detergent on a gentle cold-water cycle. Line dry if possible, or use a dryer set on low heat.
Repairing a torn garment is easy and contributes to the conservation of our planet’s resources. Parmi is proud to offer our own Repair Patch easy to apply and that can be cut or fully applied on any type of fabric when a damage unfortunately happens.
The materials and components we use are a key element in our commitment to the environment. The choices we make are aimed at pushing back against fast fashion and we want to make it easy for you to extend the life cycle of your products - From its first to fourth owner.

Long-term durability is extremely important for all of us at Parmi. By extending the life cycle of our products, we are proud to be contributing to the conservation of our planet's resources.
All items will be repaired when possible or replaced at the discretion of Parmi considering the natural product lifespan.
For the customers in Canada, we have a repair center ready to get your gear back to its best, charging only a reasonable fee to cover the service. For the ones outside Canada, we will manage the situation personally to find the easiest solution.
To ease your mind, and keep you focused on your lifestyle on the move, we offer a Damage Replacement Policy.
We understand that sometimes an incident is unavoidable. If you had an incident with your Parmi apparel, please send us photos and damage description at care@parmilifewear.com and, after evaluation, our Customer Care team could offer you a 40% discount on the regular price of the item if it is still in stock or on a similar item if it’s no longer available.
The Damage Replacement offer is only valid on products still covered by our 1 year warranty.
Parmi is proud of the quality of all our products. Items that are defective and covered under our Product Warranty will be replaced or repaired at the discretion of Parmi.
Our Care Team will be evaluating the product condition comparing to its Product Lifespan*, and offer you the best post purchase experience.
* Product Lifespan means the usual and customary wearable life of the product. The Product Lifespan does not mean for your lifetime or mean a time period that is indefinite.
Parmi products are designed for long life and durability, if care instructions are followed carefully.
